Our mission at Arched Cabins is to design and manufacture efficient, cost effective, durable, attractive, and easy-to-build structures with multiple uses. We design Arched Cabin kits in multiple sizes, manufacture them in Texas, and deliver them nationwide with step-by-step build instructions. Depending on the size of the Arched Cabin kit, you can buy a kit, have it manufactured for you in Texas, delivered to your build location, and put up in less than 6 weeks! Arched Cabins can be used for workshops, offices, animal shelters, vacation homes, RV shelters, retirement homes, hunting lodges, student housing, tiny houses, tiny houses on wheels, granny pods/man caves/she sheds, and many other things! The beauty of an Arched Cabin is in part due to our very fast build times, and also because each one is an empty canvas waiting on you to finish it to suit your personality and needs! We believe in being green ! Our Super Span roof paneling has a 40 year warranty, is made from 32-50% recycled steel and comes in 23 Energy Star rated colors! We encourage the use of alternative energy systems and the shape of our cabins lends itself to water collection! All of our cabins come with a minimum of R13 insulation for energy conservation. Arched Cabins employs skilled professionals to manufacture and deliver your DIY Arched Cabin kit 4-6 weeks from the date you place your order with us. Every Arched Cabin kit purchased comes with a build manual and a direct line to our company's build team, who can answer any questions you have about building your own Arched Cabin, whether you choose to build it yourself or hire a local professional to build it for you! If you have questions that you don't see answered on this list, please feel free to call or email us and we will get back to you as quickly as possible . Q. Can you ship internationally? A. Our US patent is recognized in some countries, and to protect our design we need to look into each country to ensure our design will still be protected by patent laws before we ship an Arched Cabin kit outside of the country. As of January 2019, we have not shipped an Arched Cabin kit outside of the US. If you have an inquiry about shipping internationally, please email us! Q. Can I buy one Arched Cabin kit and replicate the design for my own use or commercial use? A. No. We currently hold a patent that protects our design and will actively prosecute anyone found to have replicated our design for either personal or commercial use. Q. What comes with an Arched Cabin kit? A. Arched Cabin kits include a build manual, floor plates, ribs, ridge beam, standard R13 insulation for the arched walls, metal roof paneling, rubber trim and foam inserts to use by the end caps, and color coordinated fasteners needed to assemble the cabin. The kit price does not include the foundation, installation, interior, end caps, delivery, or anything that is not included above. Q. What are your DIY upgrades? A. Our DIY upgrade options include a color upgrade on the roofing panels (choose from 23 colors including Energy Star rated colors), a fireplace thimble, and an insulation upgrade to R25 for the arched walls. Q. How can I find floor plans for an Arched Cabin? A. We suggest searching the size of the floor plan you're looking for in Google Search or on Pinterest. We have a few example floor plans posted on our Facebook page, but most of our clients design their own using ideas from the internet! Q. What is the height of an Arched Cabin? A. The 8' wide Arched Cabin is 8' tall, the 12' wide Arched Cabin is 10' tall, the tall 12' wide Arched Cabin is 12' tall, the 14' wide Arched Cabin is 12' tall, the 16' wide is 14'6" tall, the 20' wide is 17'4" tall, the 24' is 18'8" tall, and the 30' wide is 17'4" tall. All these heights are to the top of the ridge beam which is 4" thick. Q. You used to build the exterior of your Arched Cabins, why don't you anymore? A. We did have a travelling build team until the end of 2018. We found the constant time away from home was hard on our build team members, so we no longer offer those services. Q. Do you provide turnkey Arched Cabins? A. No, we do not. We currently offer manufacturing and delivery. Q. How much does it cost to deliver to xxxxx ZIP code? A. Arched Cabin kits up to 24' in length are $2 per mile to deliver, and Arched Cabins kits 25' + in length are $2.50 per mile to deliver. Delivery fees are one way from our manufacturing location in Cypress, Texas. Q. Where do you deliver Arched Cabins? A. We can deliver an Arched Cabin kit anywhere in the lower 48 contiguous United States that has a paved entry and doesn't require a 4x4 vehicle to access it. We also need a driveway that is at least 10' wide and doesn't have any hairpin or sharp turns that we would have difficulty navigating a work truck with a trailer through. Q. It gets really cold/hot where I live, will this cabin work for me? A. Arched Cabins come with Energy Star rated metal roofs, and R13 value insulation for the arched walls. We offer upgraded insulation for the arched walls up to R25, and we recommend spray foam insulation if you need a higher R value than what we offer. The cabin design is very efficient, and they can be heated and cooled easily with window units, mini-split systems, and wood burning stoves. Q. Do you have technical drawings/blueprints for your cabins? A. We do have drawings available to use for permitting. Technical drawings are available for purchase here for $150, and are great for counties that don't require size or site specific drawings. We mail these drawings to you via FedEx once a week. If your county needs size and site specific engineered drawings, we work with an engineering firm that can provide those for you. Engineered drawings start at $650 and usually take 2-4 weeks to complete. Q. What are the wind/snow load ratings for your cabins? A. Arched Cabins meet 2015 International Building Code minimum standards of 150 mph wind speeds and 30 psf (pounds per square foot) snow loads. Arched Cabins have so far been permitted to build in Texas, Michigan, Montana, Colorado, Florida, New Mexico, North Carolina, Washington state, and Arizona. Q. Is financing available to build an Arched Cabin? A. We don't offer in-house financing, and most of our clients finance their Arched Cabin with a construction loan or line of credit. Traditional mortgages aren't usually a good fit for an Arched Cabin because a traditional mortgage relies on similar homes in the vicinity to base their appraisal value on. Since our product is unique, it's unlikely that your banker will find similar homes to your Arched Cabin in the vicinity. Q. What are your payment terms? A. Our payment terms are 50% down at the time of placing your Arched Cabin order, and the remaining 50% balance is due on week before our truck leaves for delivery or before you load your own trailer with your Arched Cabin kit.
